PINA - Dance, dance, otherwise we are lost
Saw this last night. Truly one of the most extraordinary things.
I think Radio 4 is worth the entire license fee. I get terribly cross when people go on about how much BBC “talent” is getting paid. Please have a quick look at Radio 4: I make less than a minicab driver. But I love the intelligence of it. When I come back from holiday, and I put it on when I’m driving from the airport, and I hear Peter Donaldson saying, “And now part four of the history of the duffel coat,” I think oh yes, I’m home now, everything’s all right.

Sandi Toksvig. (via slightly) THIS. (via naufragous) This pretty much sums up so many feelings I had yesterday. Was at my current squeeze’s house and we watched Harry Hill’s TV Burp, then X Factor. They all loved it and I can see the appeal AND I was sort of excited about the novelty. BUT, somewhere in there, I realised again that I like being a snob and not having a TV in the house and only really listening to Radio Four. AND SANDI TOKSVIG FULL STOP. |
